Review: Born in Death

Born in Death (In Death, #23)Born in Death by J.D. Robb
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Math lovers will enjoy a part of the book that was too complicated for me to follow--let's just say, lots of fraud, and other nefarious manipulations lead to the death of three persons over the course of the book. By the time it is all over, Dallas has managed to throw an incredible baby shower, with the help of Peabody, for Mavis who is hormonal and about to deliver at any moment, solved the three murders with the help of Rourke, McNab and others, located a missing person and helped deliver Mavis' baby with the help of Leonardo and others.

The action on all fronts keeps coming at rapid pace and the various background investigations as well as interviews are lively and sometimes, for Dallas and Rourke, exhausting and emotional. The reading is as fast as the writing and exhilarating! On to #24
