Bowditch beats the odds again! This time he isn't racing across the State of Maine covering large areas in impossibly short times ( I've driven in Maine--you can't get there from here as the crow flies is true and having to follow the impossible roads takes forever!) Nope, this time he's on foot and an ATV that he dare not turn off if he wants to start it again. It has just come onto to Spring so the weather is rainy, muddy and harsh and in the deep woods along the Canadian border there are widow makers galore. Still, he is able to catch up to the father - daughter pair he is persuing and despite his lack of jurisdiction, head into Canada to bring all the strands together and solve the case. Dorion continues to define the word fiction seamlessly.
